Burgundy Grand cru
A Grand Cru de Bourgogne is a wine with an appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC), produced on certain plots of land (the "climats") in a few wine-growing communes of the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits or Chablis. The specifications governing the production of each of these grands crus are more rigorous than those for other wines.
